North Brunswick Chamber of Commerce announces award winners, 2023-24 leadership team at annual banquet

The North Brunswick Chamber of Commerce (NBCC) installed its 2023-24 officers and directors and honored annual award winners during its annual awards banquet. The event was held at the Leland Cultural Arts Center on June 28 and was sponsored by REV Federal Credit Union.

“Our Chamber’s primary mission is to serve our members by building a strong business community in northern Brunswick County. I’m grateful for the many members who work hard to make our Chamber a success,” said Zach Drennan, 2023 NBCC Board President.” I’m honored to serve as Chamber President of the upcoming year.”   

The following board members were elected as officers:

  • President: Zach Drennan, Pioneer Strategies

  • Vice President: Jeremy Gunn, JBG Services

  • Secretary: Martha Jackson, South State Bank

  • Treasurer: Susan Cruse, First Bank


Additionally, the following members joined or re-joined the board:

  • Jeff Domin, Domin & Schwartz – RE/MAX Executives

  • Matt Earley, Atlantic Bay Mortgage

  • Steve Hulon, Brunswick Community College

  • Kerry Kasotsky, Aire Serve of Brunswick County

  • Shari Leone, Corning Federal Credit Union

  • Jennifer Moore, First Citizens Bank

  • Chris Moxley, Focus Broadband

  • Deb Pickett, Signature Wealth Strategies


Additional returning board members include:

  • Kevin Briggs, Novant Health

  • Wilson Hudspeth, Duke Energy.

Several Chamber members were presented with awards at the dinner. Awards were presented in seven different categories based on the organization or individual’s outstanding performance and contribution to the Chamber and community.

“Our annual awards are an opportunity to recognize members who go above and beyond in termsof their commitment to our Chamber and our community,” said Drennan. “All of this year’s honorees are more than deserving of the awards they received.”

The following members received awards:

  • Business of the Year: JBG Services

  • Non-Profit of the Year: John E. Jacobs American Legion Post 68

  • New Chamber Member Business of the Year: Chicken Salad Chick

  • Woman of the Year: Deb Pickett, Signature Wealth Strategies

  • Entrepreneur of the Year: Mimi & Papa’s Gourmet Popcorn and Homemade Ice Cream

  • Young Professional of the Year: Dr. Paul Hrvol, Coastal Integrative Health

  • Milestone Award (lifetime achievement): George Murray
